STORY 1

Campus News

R: We start off today with some important campus news:

Today the Cal state Fullerton Career Center will hold its annual Job and Internship fair in the quad.  The fair is set to begin at ten o’clock in the morning and end at two in the afternoon. A variety of employers are set to come and will take resumes and answer questions any student might have.  The job fair gives campus students an opportunity to network with people from their industry. The Career Center has said that unlike past years, where the majority of employers have been designed to accommodate business majors, there will be a variety of companies fit for all majors on campus. The Fair is designed to slowly introduce college students into the real world they will face in a couple of months, with the convenience of employers setting up right on campus. The job fair is especially important for graduating seniors who are set to begin with their careers come May 2008. For more information students may contact the Career Center.

Fullerton City news

P: Moving on now to some local news:

The city of Fullerton will be hosting its seventh annual “Haunted Fullerton Walking Tours.” Residents of Fullerton are able to enjoy a fun night out on the town to revisit some of Fullerton’s oldest buildings said to be haunted. Guests are able to enjoy a “ghostly” filled dinner at the Fullerton Eatery. Guests are taken to places such as the Fox Theater, California Hotel, and the first car dealership run by women; all said to be haunted. Properly named a celebration of a local legend, Fullerton is considered to be on of the most haunted cities in Orange County. The tours will last for about two and a half hours, and children under 13 years of age are not recommenced to attend. Cost of the tours range from 10 to 15 dollars and those interested may contact the Fullerton Museum Center. Tours last until October twenty-fifth.

Fullerton City News

R: Continuing with other Local News: Fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, and family fun are what you will run into when you visit Fullerton’s Fresh Farmer’s Market. The outdoor Market is held every Wednesday from eight in the morning until two in the afternoon. Known for its freshness in produce, Fullerton’s Farmer’s Market is said to be the oldest in Orange County. Operated by the nonprofit Fullerton Certified Farmer’s Market Board, the market is held at Ford Park, at the intersection of Wilshire and Richmond Avenues. For further information, call the Fullerton City Council.

NEWS UPDATE:

P: Now a brief update on the O.J. Simpson legal battle: According the Associated Press, a judge set bail Wednesday at one hundered and twenty five thousand dollars for O.J. Simpson in connection with the armed robbery of sports memorabilia collectors at a Las Vegas hotel. His attorney later said he expected the former football star to be released within hours and return to Florida. Simpson, sixty-years-old, was arrested last Sunday after a collector reported a group of armed men charged into his hotel room at the Palace Station Casino and took several items that Simpson claimed belonged to him. He has been held since then in protective custody.

ENTERTAINMENT:

R: And now moving onto some entertainment news: The ever so famous rapper and producer Kanye West has released his much anticipated album; Graduation. By a landslide Mr. Kanye West has outsold his rival 50 Cent also known as Curtis Jackson winning the coveted number one spot in the Billboard Music charts in the United States. Selling almost triple the amount of 50 Cent this is Kanye’s third successful album. Although West won the number one spot 50 Cent’s album Curtis had come in at number two.

WEATHER

P: As the weather is cooling Fullerton residents might want to grab their sweaters because the weather today is expected to be in the high seventies with considerable cloudiness. Tonight’s weather will be 57 degrees with a light fog. Tomorrow’s weather will reach 67 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain.

GOODBYE;
